Richard has more than 30 years experience in the UK and European property markets, following graduation from Reading University in 1979.
He spent 20 years in Private Banking and Wealth Management with Citibank and HSBC providing all aspects of property advice to wealthy owners to help them to maximize the returns from their investments.
In 2007 Richard set up Beacon Wood to continue working as a trusted property adviser to investors who demanded a high standard of service, integrity and results.
Iain is a Chartered Accountant (FCA), having trained with Coopers & Lybrand and then worked for Ernst & Whinney in their corporate recovery department.
He joined Beacon Wood in 2009 to head up the finance function and take on the responsibilities for rent and service charge collections and detailed client financial reporting. Iain is also responsible for financial reporting to lending institutions whose requirements are often as demanding as the clients!
In addition Iain has responsibility for dealing with all VAT reporting and client partnership accounting and financial reporting.
Immediately prior to joining Beacon Wood, Iain had been the Finance Head for the Home Entertainment Division of BBC Worldwide Ltd and the PolyGram music and entertainment group.
Simran gained an MSc in Real Estate from Reading University, and joined Beacon Wood in 2021. She is responsible for property management and asset management initiatives. She is also responsible for service charge budget preparation and oversight of expenditure, key functions in the successful operation of properties.
Nicky is responsible for managing Beacon Wood’s marketing and advertising, and managing the office. She has 20 years experience of business administration and office management in a commercial property and legal environment, and brings with her a wealth of organisational skills.
Vincent Donnelly – Consultant
Vince has spent over 25 years in property development. His initial training was in agency with Weatherall Green & Smith following which, in the mid-1980’s, he began to concentrate on the development sector. This has taken him from the experience of working direct for end users in the site acquisition departments of major companies such as Sainsbury and Tesco, to gaining wider experience in all development sectors, largely in the UK, but also overseas, with Rosehaugh plc, the Rotch Property Group, Carter Commercial Developments Limited (then a subsidiary of Swan Hill Group plc), Raven Mount plc and The Santon Group which he joined in 2000. Vince’s experience has included working on several million sq. ft. of development on a variety of schemes ranging from town centre and out of town retail, M25/M4 corridor offices, industrial small units and large distribution warehousing, to large scale leisure and residential master-planning.
